all the messages are showing up on my 2000 olds silhoutte, why does it do this
Press both buttons on the "driver information center" at the same time. That should reset it for you.
To restart your computer simply remove the positive terminal from the battery for 5 minutes.
Push the odometer trip reset till you get to "oil" then press and hold down till it reads "100"
Push reset when the problem code comes up.
Press the STATUS control to access the System Check function, the message center will display A/C FILTER XX% RESET FOR NEW. Press and hold the RESET control to set to 100% , the message center will display IF NEW FILTER HOLD RESET. After a successful reset, the message center will display A/C FILTER LIFE SET TO 100%.
Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes - that may reset the codes.
The service engine light can be reset on your Jeep Commander, by switching the message center to the oil life message. Once on the message, hold the check mark until it returns to 100%.

When the system is reset, the odometer will again be displayed in the message center. 3.Turn the key OFF. If the CHG OIL message cames back on when you start the vehicle, the system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.
