if you have to ask you should not be touching them
I have same engines in my boat, and I have to do it on both. It is not easy, so I have a workshop copy as I follow. You must turn the engine into spesial marks and control the pushdowns at total 4.75 mm at the injectors. Try to get the manual befor you start on this. I will like to know if you get it done and how. Thanks.
Depends on what it is set at just guessing anywhere from 330 to 500
Turning the fuel screw on a Cummins will determine the fuel flow tot he engine. If the screw is set too high of low then the engine will not run properly and could cause engine damage.
The valves and injectors, on a Caterpillar C 12 diesel engine, must be adjusted in time with each other. Use the adjustment screws on the injectors to set the timing.

A scan tool is required to clear the check engine light. If the failure is not repaired, the light will return.
Will vary with different engine and vehicle set-up types. Refer to owners manual.
You need the Cummins Insite software in order to do this.
The tappet clearance for the Cummins K38 engine is typically set at 0.25 mm (0.010 inches) for both intake and exhaust valves. It's important to check the specific service manual for the exact specifications, as they can vary based on the engine configuration and application. Proper adjustment is crucial for optimal engine performance and longevity.
The valve clearance for a 2004 5.9 Cummins engine is typically set at 0.010 inches (0.25 mm) for the intake valves and 0.020 inches (0.51 mm) for the exhaust valves. To set the valve clearance, first, ensure the engine is cold. Rotate the engine to the top dead center (TDC) of the compression stroke for the cylinder you are adjusting, then use a feeler gauge to measure the gap and adjust accordingly using the rocker arm adjuster to achieve the specified clearance.
