1st take out the 1st cylinder spark plud bring the cylinder to the top then set the rotor to the mark before the 1st cylinder firing pin then on the distributor gear there in a thin line line that up wit line on the block then slide in the distrubutor then hook up everything if it doesn't work u did domething wrong
where are timing marks on 89 ford probe 4 cylinder I have the bottom not the top
To set the timing marks on a 1995 Ford Probe 2.0L, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one. Align the crankshaft timing mark with the mark on the timing cover, then position the camshaft sprocket timing marks so they are level with the cylinder head. Make sure the timing belt is properly tensioned before securing everything in place, and double-check the marks after installation to ensure they remain aligned.
To set the ignition timing on a Ford Probe GT 95 with an MX engine, remove the two 12 mm head bolts holding the distributor in place. Then rotate the distributor to set the ignition timing.
There are no timing marks. The timing is controlled by the PCM. Power control module. It is not possible to set the timing with a timing gun.
The timing marks for a 2002 Ford Explorer are located on the timing chain and cam shaft sprocket. They must be aligned with each other to set the initial timing.
It has no timing marks because the ignition timing is set by the computer and isn't adjustable.
The timing marks are marks on the front main pulley. The marks indicate when a certain piston is at the top of its stroke. You can turn the pulley to a certain position, aligned with the timing marks, and no that piston is at the right position to set the timing.
cam shaft sensor controlled
clean on the front of the pump on top where it bolts on the motor there are timing marks there line up the long marks to set the timing.
if you look near the center bolt on your main pulley attached to the crank you will find a small arrow, use a white paint pen to mark it so it is visible, hook up your timing light and time using the timing marks attached to your engine block
there are 2 marks on the gears you have to line them up
May be computer controlled and not adjustable
