You will need to take a screwdriver or knife to take the intake off of a 1986 2.9 Bronco 2. Just take and pry the intake off. It is very easy to do.
If its the bronco XLT you'll have to take the tail gate paneling off the inside. The motor, gears, etc. for the rear window are located in there. I had the same problem with mine sometime back.
the pcv is at the back off the engine under the upper intake in the lower intake
See the link below.
To remove the top off a 1986 Ford Bronco, first, ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off. Remove the screws or bolts securing the top to the body, usually located around the edges and at the rear. Disconnect any electrical connections for the rear window, if applicable, and carefully lift the top off, ideally with a second person to assist, as it can be heavy and awkward. Store the top safely to avoid damage.
All of the full size.
how to remove oil pan from 1989 bronco 2
yes it unbolts and comes right off. you will have to take off the wind shield wiper motor cover.
The starter is located under the intake manifold, and you will have to remove the intake manifold to get to it. Do not forget to buy a intake gasket before you take it off, because they always fall apart when you take the intake manifold off.
You take off the carburater and the intake. Clean the old gasket off and install the new one.
take off the stock intake. it should pull right off....slide the new intake pipe in where the old one came off...
look at autozone.com for great repair manuals online on the firewall right behind the intake, there is a cover with 3 screws. take the cover off and here is one nut holding on a small place with a slot in it. just line it back up and put the nut back on. much easier with the intake off.
