Diconect the battery under colum disconect fuse for air bag then yellow wire to air bag and remove airbag then steeing wheel your going to pull up the turn unit to get room to the switch it should be basic from there hope this helps
I have not seen a way to do it without removing the steering wheel (and airbag).
you have to remove the steering wheel. (if it has an airbag, be very careful not to set it off.) if no airbag, just remove the steering wheel, and on the ignition switch there is a bolt that simply screws out. remove the ignition switch, and replace with the new one. line up the bolt holes, and replace bolt. put steering wheel back on, and youre done.
Turn key to run position. Below steering column is hole directly below ignition. Insert small screw driver and press putton with it. Pull put in ignition.
To dismantle the steering wheel of a Seat vehicle, first ensure the ignition is off and disconnect the battery to avoid airbag deployment. Remove the airbag module by unscrewing any retaining screws or clips at the back of the wheel, then carefully disconnect the airbag wiring harness. Once the airbag is removed, use a suitable socket to unscrew the central nut securing the steering wheel to the shaft. Finally, gently pull the steering wheel off the shaft, taking care not to damage any connected components.
Typically, replacing any factory steering wheel that has the airbag incorporated into it, with any type or brand of aftermarket steering wheel, the airbag diagnostic module will "see" that there is an airbag missing, and it will request an illumination of the airbag/srs warning lite...
Be sure the ignition switch is in the "off" position. Move the steering wheel right & left while removing the key - sometimes the steering wheel lock mechanism engages and needs to be manipulated to allow ignition switch into "off" position. Airbag light is a mystery, our Sebring does this also. I have heard that one cause is a faulty airbag fuse - maybe try replacing it. For future reference, if your brake light comes on (mainly while turning) check you brake fluid level.
you have to take the airbag out first.
no it does not have a steering wheel
To remove the steering wheel from a 2007 Suzuki XL7, first, disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent airbag deployment. Then, carefully remove the airbag by unscrewing the retaining screws located on the back of the steering wheel. Once the airbag is detached, disconnect the airbag connectors and set the airbag safely aside. Finally, use a steering wheel puller to remove the steering wheel from the steering column by unscrewing the central nut that holds it in place.
To reset the airbag light in a 2004 Nissan Titan, first ensure the ignition is off. Then, turn the ignition key to the "On" position without starting the engine. Press and hold the airbag reset switch (usually located under the driver's seat or near the steering column) until the airbag light blinks and then stays off. If the light remains on, there may be an underlying issue that needs professional diagnosis.
You don't have an airbag
Start by disconnecting the yellow wire under the dash for the airbag. Now turn the steering wheel 90 degrees to access the underside of the steering wheel. You will have to insert a smaller size flat blade screw driver into the 4 holes on the back of the steering wheel and rotate them to release the airbag. Now remove the nut holding the steering wheel on and remove the steering wheel. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE AIRBAG MODULE!! Now remove the lower column cover with 2 Torx screws. You will now have access to 2 inverted Torx screws that hold the top column cover in place. Look on the top of the ignition cylinder housing and find the small hole. Insert a small Allen wrench into the hole and turn the key to "run" position and the ignition cylinder will come out. Hope this helps.
