On a 2003 Ford Windstar :
The TRAC OFF warning light means that either the traction control system has
been turned off by the driver or there has been a problem detected with the
system
There is a rectangular shaped switch , marked T/C ( I assume it is located
somewhere on the dash ) just push the switch again and if the system has
been turned off by the driver the light should go off because the traction
control system should be turned on now
Problem with the ABS.
the same thing happens to mine........just turn the interior light switch of......it works
Need to correct the problem and get a scanner to cancel the check engine light... Also, remove the negative battery terminal for a few minutes and the ECU will cancel the codes; but they will return if the problem has not been corrected.
The TRAC OFF light is usually caused by a problem in the ABS system. See the link TRAC OFF DESCRIPTION link below for more info.- TechJK -------------
To turn the trac system off so you can do burn outs, pull the parking brake up one or two clicks.
On a 2003 Ford Windstar : No , there is no low oil cut off switch If the LOW OIL PRESSURE warning light ( next to the right turn signal indicator light ) comes on , then you want to pull over as soon as it is safe to do so and shut the engine off ( the sooner the better )
turn key to on/start,wait until theft light goes out.
Fill it up with oil...
You can turn the traction control on and off. If the light is on, then it is turned off or there is a problem. Read your owner's manual.
Check the bulb it is double filamented with the smaller being for the stop and turn signals
Turn on the ignition and do not start the engine. The light will come on unless the bulb is burnt out or someone has removed it.
There should be a button somewhere that turns it off. Question is, why do you want to turn it off? to the left of the steering wheel the are a few buttons. TRAC OFF press it, the TRAC light appears on the dash. FYI: the TRAC system can only be turned off up to about 20 mph.
