The 2001 Jeep Wrangler turn signal flasher relay switch can be located beneath the dashboard. The switch will be on the drivers side of the engine compartment.
If the light is on, the computer has detected a malfunction. You will need to take in for service, so a qualified technician can repair cause of malfunction.
The check engine light is reset with a scan tool after repairing the failure that caused the trouble codes to be stored in the computer.
Most engine compartment lights turn on when the hood is opened with a plunger switch or a tilt sensor. I have seen some that have a light that can be handheld and either have a switch on the light itself or it comes on when you remove the light from its holder.
If the headlights do not come on and the parking lights do in a 2000 Jeep Wrangler, it is possible that the fuse is blown for the headlamps. It is also possible for them to both be burned out due to touching the glass part when installing them. Oil in the fingers will overheat them and burn them out.
According to the manual, there is no switch. It's push to turn on/off. Mine doesn't work though, and doesn't push in.
Defective flasher relay if none of them flash. Burnt out bulb if only one doesn't work.
turn on the running lights and pull out on the multi switch.
Key on, engine off. Press gas pedal to the floor three times in 10 seconds.
To turn off the check engine light on a 2001 Jeep Wrangler, you can start by checking for any diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) using an OBD-II scanner. If you’ve resolved the underlying issue, you can clear the codes with the scanner, which should turn off the light. Alternatively, you can disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes to reset the system, but this may also reset other electronic settings. Always ensure that any underlying issues are fixed to prevent the light from coming back on.
