you cant it a TBI
A common cause for an automatic choke to stick in a 318 Dodge truck is a dirty carburetor. A spray can be used to clean the carburetor to stop the choke from sticking.
If this truck has EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) you won't find an automatic choke. The model year info would help.
Most auto parts stores.
No. You unplug the block heater BEFORE you start the truck.
the choke is on
That truck has throttle body fuel injection. There is no choke.
The typical fuel pump pressure for a 1997 Chevrolet CK 1500 truck is 50 psi. The high pressure is required to atomize the fuel when it leaves the injectors.
you can change from automatic to manual on straight axle front ends. the newer 4x4s with independent front ends can not (this type has CV axles or half shafts). although if you have a independent front end on and truck you can unplug the the harness on the front end. i have no idea why one would do that but its possable.
To adjust the choke on a 1978 350 4 barrel Chevy truck engine, turn the screw on the side of the carburetor. This screw is located in the side of the carburetor. Turning the screw to the right makes the choke open farther. Turn to the left to make the choke open less.
autmatic
The batterie cables are usually the easiest
assuming the automatic was the same or near in year yes if you only swap the engines
