To use the remote start feature on your 2006 Impala SS, first ensure that your vehicle is in a secure area and that the doors are locked. You have to hit the lock button 1st, then hit the remote start button and hold for a few seconds.
Any car can have remote start, some cars you may want a dealer or an authorized mechanic to handle. I don't however think you can have a remote start system on a manual vehicle.
