Only if one was installed.
not sure about a factory remote-start feature, but most aftermarket units are set for 10 minutes
The remote starter was not installed correctly. The car thinks there is a breach of security because the remote is not sending the correct signal, or else it is one of the models where the car needs to "see" the ignition key. In this case, an extra correctly coded key has to be permanently installed inside the steering column trim panel.
It should be on the starter itself or if remote between battery (positive) & starter. Just follow the cable.
Your kit should include instructions.
I have a "kill switch" located under the dash board on the driver's side. Previously had problems when using the remote, the car wouldn't start. Used the "switch" to get it started. Hope this helps!
