If it is the same plug every time, I would say the plug or wire is grounding out some where. Try replacing the plug the the wire.
A 2-pole wire will not work on a 3-pole plug. You will need to use a 3-pole wire on a 3-pole plug.
Change the cord/plug on the stove to a four wire cord/plug. When installing the new plug remove the grounding strip that connects the center lug in the stove wiring block to the frame of the stove.
