Depending on your year of Bravada, the Smart Trak systems works in 1 of 2 ways:
1991-97 (maybe 96): delivers 65% power to the rear wheels and 35% to the front wheels. It delivers more power to the front wheels as the vehicle starts to slip or slide. Uses the Borg Warner 4472 transfer case.
1998-2001 (might have started in 1997) delivers 100% power to rear wheels and turns on the All wheel drive function as wheel slip/slide is detected. Uses the computer controlled NP-136 transfer case.
smart trac always on
usually Smart-Trac all-wheel drive
To check if the Smart Trac system is working on a 2000 Olds Bravada, start by ensuring the vehicle is in a safe, open area. Turn the ignition on without starting the engine, and observe the dashboard for the Smart Trac indicator light; it should illuminate briefly and then turn off. If the light stays on or flashes while driving, it may indicate a problem with the system. Additionally, you can engage the four-wheel drive and listen for any unusual sounds, as proper engagement is a good sign that the system is functioning correctly.
There is no 2000...Trac's start at 2001.
If you put your car info into: http://car-part.com/ It will list related models that fit your car.
Smart Work was created on 1931-12-27.
Straight piping a 2001 V6 sports Trac will make it really loud. This will take a little work for it to be done.
if you mean the 4wd smart track the only way is to remove 4wd fuse under driverside rear passenger seat .
the blazer or jimmy hub and bearing assembly should work on your 96 bravada they are basically similar vehicles
do you need smart smerve to work there
usually smart work is boooooring, but hard work is exhausting. I like better hard work.
