The wiper circuit on a 1985 GMC Jimmy operates using a combination of a switch, a relay, and the wiper motor. When the driver activates the wiper switch, it sends power to the wiper motor through a relay, which may also control the speed settings (low, high, and intermittent). The motor then drives the wiper arms back and forth across the windshield. Additionally, there is a park switch in the motor that ensures the wipers return to a resting position when turned off.
The wiper circuit box. Replace it
Check ground circuit I believe that it is a "ground" switched circuit
The wiper motor can be replaced reasonably easy, however your particular problem is usually caused by the circuit board that controls the wiper motor and the delay cycles, retraction, etc. The board is also quite cheaper than the entire wiper motor. It is also called a wiper pulse or relay board and can be found online from around $25 and up. The electronic board plugs into the wiper motor, and the electric cable plugs into the circuit board.
there is small circuit board mounted on wiper motor. Circuit board available at Chevy Dealers or IWI motor parts. No need to remove motor but micro stubby screw drivers needed to remove and replace. worked great.
Relay xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx If you are referring to a General Motors car there is a recall on the circuit boards for some cars and trucks.
It sounds like a short circuit in the control switch. The quickest, easiest and cheapest way to fix it would be to pull the fuse that controls the rear wiper.
Bad ground? How do i check this? See if you are getting power to motor? How? Circuit breaker?
The wiper switch in a 1965 Ford Thunderbird controls the operation of the windshield wipers through a simple electrical circuit. When the switch is turned on, it completes the circuit, allowing current to flow to the wiper motor, which then activates the wipers. The switch typically has multiple settings, including off, low speed, and high speed, which adjust the voltage supplied to the motor, changing the wiper's speed. Additionally, there may be a separate function for activating the washer system, which sprays fluid onto the windshield.
escape 01 rear wiper dosen't work
if its the driver wiper that doesn't work, its probably the control rod broken. the passengers wiper is driven by the motor, the drivers by the linkage from the passengers wiper mechanism
If the passenger wiper works, either the drivers side wiper arm or the windshield wiper transmission is defective. The linkages that work the wiper arms is called a transmission.
i believe that's like the sonoma that i had that happened to me there is a board in the wiper motor that ya can replace it think it cost me about 20.00
