i hate when i search this stuff for apex and find no answers.
If the phloem tube is removed, the leaves will no longer receive nutrients and sugars from the rest of the plant. As a result, the leaves will not be able to photosynthesize efficiently and will eventually wilt and die due to a lack of essential nutrients and energy supply.
They can be harvested when the tops of the leaves start to die off.
It will die , nd yhue Will start To See it die .
It would die as water and minerals absorbed from the roots cannot be transported to other parts of the plant.Food made by the leaves cannot be transported to other parts of the plants too. So,the leaves and stems do not get the water and minerals absorbed by the roots. The roots and stems also cannot get the food made by the leaves.Hence, the plant will die eventually.
The glucose (simplest form of sugar) made by the leaves through photosynthesis (process at which plants make food) got "stuck" as the phloem (food-carrying tube) is cut away and glucose could not be transported to below the part which the phloem was cut. Water from the roots would still flow to all plant parts as the xylem (water-carrying tubes) were not cut away. Hope this is useful! =)
for example phloem .... doesnt have a nucleus ... and it needs a nucleus to survive ... thats why they have a companion cell which have a nucleus for them ...if u try to separate the companion cell from the phloem the phloem will die after some time
If all the xylem and phloem were not destroyed parts of the plant may survive but others would die, but eventually the whole plant would die because of lack of nutrients. If the xylem and phloem were all destroyed when the plant would die as it would receive no water or nutrients it needs.
The phloem is the tissue around the stem, which is responsible for carrying nutrients to the parts of the plant that need them. Removing this tissue leads the plants to starve, and eventually die.
The plant will wilt and die ultimately
Removing the outer ring of a stem, also known as the phloem, disrupts the plant's ability to transport sugars and nutrients produced in the leaves to the rest of the plant. This can lead to wilting, stunted growth, and eventually, death if the damage is severe and not corrected promptly.
No xylem die at maturity but phloem stays alive all the time the plant is alive.
When the onions leaves put their enitre energy into the bulbs that turned into onions, it start dying. Pull your onions out once the leaves die.
