dodge ram 1500 pickup leaky freeze plug The freeze plugs are all around the engine.
There are freeze plugs on all sides of the engine.
There are three on each side, and two on the back of the block.
You either have to remove the transmission from engine or vice-versa. The engine block has freeze plugs in rear that rust out through time,( lack of antifreeze makes them rust out faster) try replaceing them with brass freeze plugs, there much better then metal. You will have to remove pressure plate, clutch, & flywheel to access freeze plugs.
you get a 4 pin harness from the dealership and it plugs right in by the fuse block.
They are under the 6 ignition coils. There is a coil for each spark plug. You have to remove the coils, and then remove the plugs.
On my 1999 ram 1500 p/u its on the passenger side firewall. Has 3 multi-wire plugs attached. measures aprox 6x8.
