According to the 2002 Ford Taurus Owner Guide : For the 3.0 liter " Duratec " DOHC engine ( 24 valve engine ) With engine oil filter change : ( 5.2 litres / 5.5 U.S. quarts of engine oil )
On a 2002 Ford Thunderbird : The engine oil filler cap on the 3.9 liter V8 engine is on top of an extension tube , on the drivers side engine valve cover , near the rear of the engine valve cover

The oil pressure on a 6-liter GMC engine is primarily regulated by the oil pump and the oil pressure relief valve. The oil pump circulates oil throughout the engine, maintaining pressure necessary for lubrication. The relief valve opens to divert oil back to the sump when pressure exceeds a certain level, preventing damage from excessive pressure. Additionally, the engine's oil pressure sensor monitors and reports the oil pressure to the dashboard gauge.
With engine oil filter change ( 5.0 quarts / 4.7 liters of engine oil ) for the 4.0 liter EFI and 4.0 liter SOHC , V6 engines , and also for the 5.0 liter V8 engine
The 4.0 liter V6 engine holds ( 5 ) quarts with engine oil filter change
15qts
4o liters
With engine oil filter change : The 2.8 liter V6 engine in a ( Ford Ranger ) holds ( 5 quarts )
On my 1995 Ford EXPLORER ( which has the 4.0 liter OHV / pushrod design / VIN " X " engine ) the EGR valve is just to the left of the engine oil dipstick ( when looking into the engine compartment from the drivers side ) It is lower down and has a round top on it
I believe that is ( 6 quarts - U.S. ) with engine oil filter change
