Changing spark plugs on this engine is a real chore. If you don't believe me just try to find all eight of them. The $5 per plug is peanuts compared to the 3-6 hours you will spend changing them. BTW GM does not make plugs anymore. They buy them from whomever will make them the cheapest. The AC Spark Plug plant in Flint Mi. has been flattened. GM retained only the trademark.
i changed the one in my 87 firebird formula and i had to cut the filler neck in half then connected it back with a peice of hose if you don't want to do that i think you have to drop the rear end
A mechanic, that's who.

There are a hundred answers for that question on here. However, the easiest way is to remove the passenger side fender to gain access.

You can replace the ignition lock cylinder in your 1994 Pontiac Firebird without removing the steering will. Remove the retaining ring at the top of the ignition cylinder. The ignition cylinder will slide out.
Bend over the mechanics counter.

The EGR Valve on a 1999 Pontiac Firebird is located just to the left of the engine oil dipstick. There's nothing in the way so it's pretty easy to get to and replace. Hope this helps! -Erin
