can you clean a egr valve on a 1995 pontiac firebird with a 3.,4 litre motor
yes it does
the two bolts, one on each side of the egr valve.
backside of the intake manifold under the hood cowl.
Remove the wiring from the top of the EGR then unbolt it at the bottom of the EGR system. You may need to replace the gasket after replacing the EGR itself
As I recall, that engine does not have an EGR valve.
does a 2004 grand am ,2.2 l have a egr valve
where do I find the egr valve on a 1999 Chevy Cavalier?
Would this cause the car not to start If the EGR VALVE is bad
location of egr valve on 04 grand am v6
It does not have EGR.
The EGR valve is used to reduce emissions and pass environmental testing for your vehicle (especially in California). The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is part of the vacuum system and a faulty valve will cause vacuum instability (leaking) and could cause engine stumbling. If you can find a way to eliminate it by capping the placeholder you might not suffer major difficulty, however, there is a sensor for its use and the computer (ECM) could induce erratic commands to the entire system as a whole with its removal. The 1995 Pontiac Firebird is a sensor rich computer controlled vehicle.
