How to Install radiator in ford transit van?

I have a Ford Transit 1999 lwb 2.5 turbo and have repaired the radiator 3 times. The job takes about 90 minutes each way. Remove, then replace.

Step One is to drain the radiator into a container of your choice. It can release more than 12 litres, so be prepared. A plastic tube to fit on the tap and run to your container is essential.

Once done, the rest is a straight forward process of disassembling the front grill and most of the body work in front of the radiator. I am not a mechanic, so I take take it slow and put the bolts and screws into trays in the order they come out. I use cleaned plastic bottles with a rectangle cut of their sides. Also I put down a large drop cloth under the entire front of the vehicle and under as far as I can. If a bolt or screw falls, it is easier to find.

Also each part can be laid out in order of extraction and replaced in the same order. I won't detail the steps, as it is just common sense, as each part only comes off and goes on, one way. It will require upside down work behind the sump to release all the radiator connections at the bottom. The top is connected to the body and is relatively easy. Once all are released, just lift the radiator up and out. Nothing remarkable about tools... Spanners of course, multi grips and both Phillips head and straight screwdrivers.
