Count the ring gear teeth and the pinion gear teeth and divide the ring gear # into the pinion gear # and that will be the gear ratio.

Are you can write the VIN# down and call a Chevy dealer and ask for parts. Then tell the parts man that you have the VIN# and you would like to know the gear ratio in your truck. He'll tell you.
