in fords, most of they're radios need special "Ford Keys" to remove the radio
they run around $4 in most auto parts stores
you could also just bend a section of hanger about 10 inches in length into a "U" shape and insert into the holes on each side of the stock stereo.
push in approx. 1/4-1/2 inch or until you feel a lock or click, then pull u shapes outward toward the windows and gentally pull radio out of the dash.
i recomend buying the ford keys though, they are much simpler to use.
