Remove the factory stereo. Unplug the factory wiring harness from the radio. Connect the new radio. Test it and reassemble the dash. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.

If it is not a factory stereo, you will need a GM class2 data bus interface device in order to keep other car devices active.
Take off piece on the shifter and lighter. Just take a screw driver and pop it up, but be careful that you wont break it. Then you can remove the face plate with the A/C on it. Next there is two screws, take them out and you good to go.
