How to replace stop light bulb on Ford Fusion 2007?

You need to remove the 6 plastic retainer plugs holding the lower Plastic vacuum formed liner in the Trunk or boot.

I found that a pair of needle nosed pliers worked well.

Work the pliers under the edge of the Plug and use a small block of wood under the pliers for leverage.

This plastic Liner is secured over the trunk latch with snap locks, after removing the 4 plastic retainers remove the other two by lifting the cover over the spare tire and remove the two close to the back of the car on either side of the Spare tire.

After removing the 6 plugs grab the plastic liner on either side and lift up to release the snap locks two on either side of the trunk latch on the bottom of the trunk lip.
