Cant say for sure with the 2000 model but I assume its the standard blower resistor as my 1997 that failed twice. Symptom is the fan only works on high speed but not on thelower speeds or some of them. You can remove the resistor block (you need to be a contortiounist) not one of my fav jobs -lay on your back and its up on the firewall on passenger side, careful with the plug it has a retaining clip on the side- then meter it out with a ohm meter, refer to the diagrams in the car manual (service manual you can buy at parts centers). You can often buy a replacement on the internet rather than paying the huge price at dealers..The second time my fan failed was due to no power to the connector intermittantly - I ran a new 12V circuit to the plug and its been like that for 2 years.. Good luck
mine cost about $16 at Autozone. difficult to reach to replace it, but works perfectly now. good luck!
Resistor is located behind the blower motor assembly.
How_do_you_replace_a_blower_motor_resistor_in_a_2000_Grand_Am_GT
Please email me a photo of where the blower motor resistor is and how to change it. Thanks, Michael. By the way I want it for a 2000 Sunfire not a Grand Am.
Pull blower its up inside hole
the resistor is gonna be right off the blower motor attached to the blower motor by a wire harness should be by the heater core
Check for a bad blower resistor at blower motor
the resistor is directly behind the blower motor under the dash
Behind the glove box.
trying to locate ,the resister to the blower motor foe 2003 grand prix gt
Blower resistor pack broken?
The blower motor is failing and drawing too many amps.
