I don't know if this will work for non-turbo models or other years of the S80, but it worked on my car: 1. Insert ignition key and turn to position I. 2. Push in the odometer reset stalk and hold it in. 3. Turn the ignition key to position II. Continue to hold the odometer reset stalk in. After a few seconds the Service light will begin to flash. 4. Release the odometer reset button. 5. Turn the ignition off. You're done!
1.Press and release the trip/reset button until the OIL LIFE message is displayed. 2.Press and hold the trip/reset button until a chime sounds five times and RESET is displayed in the message center. When the system is reset, the odometer will again be displayed in the message center. 3.Turn the key OFF. If the CHG OIL message cames back on when you start the vehicle, the system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.
To reset the message center computer on a Volvo S60 Turbo, turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine. Press and hold the "Trip" button on the instrument cluster until the display changes or resets, usually taking about 10 seconds. Release the button, and the message center should be reset. If issues persist, consult the owner's manual or a dealership for further assistance.
