there is a set screw on the linkage on the carb that will adjust it.
more than likely if it's not idling right you need to change the TPS sensor, (throttle position sensor).
that would be good for the cold idle and should drop three times as the car warms up and should idle about 650 to 800 auto trans
The Chevrolet Monte Carlo with 90 degree V6 uses an idle air control (IAC) motor assembly to moderate engine speed while standing. The IAC can be located screwed in to the throttle body assembly.
there is no "fast idle solenoid" there has'nt been a fast idle adjustment on passenger cars in over 20 years
