Me and two of my friends have had problems with one or another window not responding, every time it was the actual switch in the center counsel that went out
you prolly need a new window motor... check a local junkyard.
To install a window motor on a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire, first, remove the door panel by unscrewing all fasteners and carefully prying it off. Disconnect the electrical connector from the old window motor and remove the mounting bolts to take it out. Install the new window motor by securing it with the bolts and reconnecting the electrical connector. Finally, reattach the door panel and ensure everything is functioning properly.

I have a 1990 Pontiac Transport SE, I have the changed the motor on the driver's window which is power...take off the door panel and you will see the motor...not too difficult of a job...follow the old motor route...
I can't tell you precisely, but you'll see it when you pull the inside door panel off to access it.
Goto www.car-parts.com and look up and engine in the list it will tell you all the cars that have that motor

To fix the driver's side window on a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am, first, check the fuse for the power window system and replace it if necessary. If the fuse is fine, inspect the window switch for faults and consider replacing it if it’s unresponsive. If the window still doesn’t work, you may need to remove the door panel to access the window motor and regulator, checking for any mechanical obstructions or damage. If the motor is faulty, replacing it should restore function to the window.
the power window motor is probably bad
You can find quite a bit of info about Sunfires at this website http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/1995-to-2005-pontiac-sunfire-6.htm FriPilot
The 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier motor will fit into the 1997 Pontiac sun fire. The motor mounts and the wiring harness are exactly the same.
technically yes, it will fit. Whether or not it's worth the hassle is up to you.
