turn over engine with gas line to carbs disconnected fuel should flow from line.if not either no gas or pump not working
On my engine, the accelerator pump on the Carb is going bad, 350 engine with quadrajet carb
Sounds like a fuel pump or filter problem.
Driver side front of the engine. Just follow the fuel line from the carb down to it.
Too much engine oil could be the problem.
try cleaning your carb that's what i did and it fixed my problem
It depends on your skill level, what engine you are replacing with what engine, what vehicle you are removing from and putting in, tools, and how much time you have. Is it EFI or carb? Are you going from carb to EFI? Carb to EFI? It can take a day or it can take a year lol.
Fuel injected? in the fuel tank Carb.? look at the lower front section of engine
Hmm, I had a similar problem.. Mine turned out to be the egr valve..
From the factory, the fuel filter would be in the Q-jet carb. You have to disconnect the fuel line at the carb and remove that housing on the carb. Filter is inside.
carb problem my guess would be accelerator pump or stuck power valves in carb.
most likely a fuel delivery problem. i use carb cleaner to spray a little down the throttle body (where the carb used to ve) and see if it starts. if so then you probably need a fuel pump.
It is actually located in the carburator. Find the fuel line going to the carb. Where it attaches to the carb you have a small (Probably 9/16) fitting that screws into a larger fitting. The filter is behind the larger fitting. It is about the size of your thumb and has a small spring with it.
