yes this will cause engine to run hot
usually to cause an engine to diesel when shut off, the spark plugs are dirty or burned out.also check the timing
wrong timing can cause any engine to over heat. in fact if the timing is off it can cause hundreds of dollars of damage.
Timing being off will cause a noticeable drop in vehicle's engine performance.
A damaged or deteriorated engine mounting. Possibly a bad harmonic damper if the timing or firing of the spark plugs is off, then this will cause the engine to shake unevenly.
The timing may be off. If the timing belt is old then the gears can slip and cause backfiring, or the engine to not run at all.
A bad timing belt could make the engine shut down but it would only happen once, not sometimes.
If the timing is off by a few degrees the engine can start but will run rough. More than a few (depending on the engine) it will not start.
bad ignition timing.
Inside the belt side of the engine. It runs off of the timing belt.Inside the belt side of the engine. It runs off of the timing belt.
It's just that it is overheated or it has a very hot engine
an engine where, in the event that the timing is off or if the timing belt breaks, the pistons can collide with the valves and actually do damage.
It is possible, but the engine would be very hot before this happens.
