The feds have a cell for you if you try to do this. It is probably not possible to do anyway. Up until the mid 90's there were some odos that could be tampered with but not anymore. Imagine what the used car industry would do to the public if this was possible.

1995 Windstar engine upgrade Which of the later model engines swap into a 1995?

The 3.8 engines from vans up to about '03 or so will fit in the 95 Windstar. However, they are significantly different (split port induction) and you will need the PCM, most of the engine wiring, and who knows what else. At some point, the bolt pattern between the engine and transmission changed, so you cannot use the newest engines with your transmission. If you wanted to use a Freestar 4.2, you would have to swap the whole powertrain as a unit. I am not sure if the subframe mounting points are the same.

Can you fit a 2jz into a 2000 Honda Prelude?

why? Honda engines are meant for Honda's, so stick with your H22A. If for some reason you still wanted to do the swap some custom engine mounts along with adapters would have to be fabricated.

How has the Otto Cycle Engine changed the U.S economy?

There are six types of engines that drive vehicles. There are two types of steam engines, piston and turbine, the second type being quite rare. There are three types of internal combustion engines: two cycle, otto engines, and diesel engines. And there is the sterling engine in a very few experimental cars. The Otto 4 cycle engine does not get the mileage of the diesel engine. It gets better mileage than the earlier 2 cycle engine. A 2 cycle is much lighter than a 4 cycle engine. It is smaller and cheaper than a 4 cycle engine. It would not get the mileage of a 4 cycle engine. It would make sense to use a 2 cycle engine in something requiring light weight and high power that would not last real long. Lets try using it in power saws and motor bikes. A diesel engine will last longer than a gasoline engine. It gets better mileage. It is much heavier. We will use it in large vehicles and in stationary applications. So. It made sense to put an Otto engine in a smaller vehicle that would wear out sooner than a diesel engine would. That would be an Automobile and a light truck. The first Automobiles and light trucks did not change the American economy. A farmer could get his crops to market much faster in a truck than in a horse drawn wagon. A person could go wherever they wanted much faster in an automobile than in a horse drawn carriage. A horse drawn hack changed to a taxi. The same man drove it. A blacksmith repaired wagons and cars. The Otto Engine changed the way equipment was pulled through farmer's fields. Modified cars could pull equipment much faster than horses. The fields used for growing feed for horses could be diverted to other crops. With farm fields mechanized, many of the helpers needed to work the fields left for northern factories. In the South, a number would return in September to pick cotton but that would be a brief trip back to the old home place for a month while the car companies retooled for new models. As time has passed it has meant the death of the old industries. At one time steel mills had to be close to the automobile manufacturing companies. Shipping steel across the ocean simply was not practical. In fact shipping it to the South was not practical. Besides, the South did not have the concentrations of population to support large factories. Automobiles changed that. People could come from miles around to work in factories. As long as factories had parking lots, people could drive to jobs. They did not have to live in a near by large town. They did not need to hop on a subway or train to get to work or have a bus going that way at exactly the right time. If a person needed to work late, they would not be out of luck if they missed the 5:15. So. The change was gradual. It was cumulative. It was permanent.

If you put in a chip in your 2000 F350 V10 will that improve gas mileage and by how much?

most likely not. v-10 keep this in mind. city driving is the worst on this engine. 2 more cylinders sucking fuel all the time. highway driving should be ok though depending on how long. this engine was fords cheep way of giveing the person that wanted engine power for pulling or pto without the price of the diesel.

How fast can a Toyota Prius go?

I own one and if i wanted could do 100+. I keep it around 60 for the best gas mileage.

How can you rotate the motor in anti clockwise direction?

Assuming (probably incorrectly) that you are talking about car engines: It probably depends on the engine, and I question why you would ever want to rotate an engine in the opposite direction from how it is designed to run. But if I wanted to move an engine in the wrong direction, I would put a socket wrench on the front of the crankshaft, generally in the middle of the engine's lower pulley. I would first disconnect the negative battery cable, as you never want to risk the engine starting to fire and move on its own when you are working on it. These generic hints would work on most traditional front engine rear wheel drive american car engines of the 50's thru 70's and beyond. (also on some Volvos, Suzuki Samurais, MBZ, and BMWs I have worked on.)

this applies to pretty much any car... you turn the key as if your going to start it but at the same time you hold down the button on the odometer dont start the car it should be the second click as if you wanted to just listen to the radio or raise the windows with the engine off. you hold that button down for 10-15 seconds and the light should go off this applies to pretty much any car... you turn the key as if your going to start it but at the same time you hold down the button on the odometer dont start the car it should be the second click as if you wanted to just listen to the radio or raise the windows with the engine off. you hold that button down for 10-15 seconds and the light should go off
