it,s real simple stick the key in the ignition turn to on position but don,t start up under the steering columun you,ll see a small 3/16 hole put a small nail or something that want break push the pin in pull out old unit ........when yo put new unit in simply push it back in the way it came out bigdog

97-98 Mark VIII's have a computer chip in the key head that is read by the ring around the ignition switch. The key must be programmed to the ignition switch by the Ford or L/M dealer. They will also be able to get the key code for you upon verification of your ownership of the vehicle.

The 1995 when can Mark VIII cooling fan switch is located behind the dashboard. The switch will be on the passenger side of the dashboard in the passenger compartment.
Driver's side of the transmission.
In the trunk on the drivers side under the panel.
In my 95 Mark viii there is a little access panel on the left side in the trunk, its in there. (its a little red switch.)
