According to the 2003 Ford Taurus Owner Guide :
It either came with GREEN color antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification
ESE-M97B44-A )
or YELLOW ( Ford specification WSS-M97B51-A1 )
* the manual states to use the type your car was originally equipped with
* I ASSUME that would be GREEN for the " Vulcan " V6 engine because that has cast iron block and heads , and YELLOW for the " Duratec " which has
aluminum block and heads
So , the answer is ( NO )
I would recommend you drain it out, flush the system, and install the correct green coolant that Ford recommends. Using the wrong coolant can damage parts.
about 18 gallons.
green
68.1 liters ( 18 U.S. gallons )
Ford Dealers carry the Orange colored Antifreeze for Jags

If you have coolant coming out of the exhaust. You have either a blown head gasket, a cracked head, or a cracked block. This can totally ruin your motor.
