yes.
but not the end of the world.
shocks dampen the vibrations of springs.
so in your case if you go over a speed bump the truck will bounce up and down on the springs for much longer than usual. this leads to excess wear on springs, steering linkages, and other aspects of the car.
its not too bad to drive with broken mounts, as long as your headed to the shop to get them fixed.
Yes, if your car has shock absorbers it would only be if they are broken in two pieces; if your car has struts then it is probably the upper mounts that are bad. If it is struts and you have the upper mounts replaced, you will also need an alignment.
Broken sway bar, bad or broken shock, or broken spring.
Could be bad bushings on shocks or strut mounts, or broken shock, strut or sway bar. On a larger vehicle like a truck or older car it could be a broken leaf spring or coil. If I had to guess that's where I would start looking.
If you rev your motor and the motor moves excessively one or both of your motor mounts is broken. Visual inspection is the best method for determining the condition of your mounts. Jack up the car and put it on jack stands. Get underneath and look at each of the mounts. The rubber should not be cracked or missing pieces. Push on the motor with your hand and make sure the rubber is not broken and that both sides ( motor and the part of the chasis where it mounts ) are firmly attached.
It's probably your shock mounts, I had the same problem. The noise went away after I replaced the shock mounts.
possibly worn shock absorber rubbers, loose mounting bolts, broken mounts. more info needed to diagnose

Rear shocks/struts are bad.
Depending on the age of the vehicle - there could be several possibilities. Tires/wheels out of balance - broken engine or transmission mounts - worn out shock absorbers or struts.
Take off shudder is most commonly caused by one of three things. Broken motor mounts, a broken transmission mount, or bad u joints will all cause the shudder.
