Bad. The engine water system is not properly pressurised and will boil up. Can cause serious engine damage.
First thing make sure your model has them in the rear.If so you will need to pull the transmission too get to the freeze plugs. AKA "casting plugs" I'm about to do the same thing myself, good luck to you..
There are several freeze plugs but the ones that are hidden and you are probably looking for are between the engine and the transmission mounting. The bad news is that you have to remove the transmission to some extent to even see the plugs. Good luck.
Just till you crash..... Good idea to get it fixed now.
No, no one from McFly are brothers with Busted, they are just good friends.

The frost plugs are not frost plugs. They are actually openings to allow the release of the casting sand from the casting process I have seen engines survive a freeze up like this but have seen many more that did not.
If you can get to it, yes. But understand that there is probably rust and corrosion elsewhere in the engine and you probably have a few corroded freeze plugs that haven't given out yet. You may need to pull the starter and exhaust manifold to get to the freeze plug, and replacement plugs are available. Once they start to go it probably won't be stopping any time soon. A good anti-freeze with a rust inhibitor is certainly worth the investment if for no other reason than it prevents freeze plug failure.
You MUST either PULL the TRANSMISSION are the ENGINE to get to them, No other way. Then remove the flywheel and take a chisel and hammer and knock them sideways in the block and pry them out. Then take sand paper and clean the sides of the hole in the block real good. Now get a big socket that will fit in your new freeze plug and drive it back in the block stright. Now put it all back together.
Under extreme conditions they handled poorly, otherwise they were pretty good. They were air cooled, no anti-freeze to worry about. The engine sat over the drive wheels, good traction in snow.
Of course you can. Of course you can freeze it but I dunno if it tastes that good. You can freeze anything.. 'Cept some stuff. Stuff that you cant freeze.
