I recently swapped the other way, from Silverado to Cheyenne grill when repairing collision damage on a Silverado. I did not care for the plastic/ composite headlights, and the donorparts were from a Cheyenne. All of the bolt holes were there on both trucks to goeither way. After removing the grille, remove the spring/ buckets/ adjusters from the Cheyenne, install the silverado composite headlights (you will need four metric bolts to match the existing headlight bracket retaining nuts in the radiator support of your truck. You will have todo a little rewiring since the connectors are different for the sealed beams and the composite lights. I have seen companies on the net that sell a complete Silverado change over kit. FYI:Be prepared to battle with the composite headlights yellowing and getting dim at night if the truck will be parked outdoors. Areyou interested in selling your Silverado parts? I have a used Silverado grill and headlights I would be willing to trade.
YES IT will fit right in. No problems.
In front of the radiator. pull off the grill
The horn is behind the front grill on the passenger side.
Yes I bought a chevy c1500 with a gmc grill already on it
What can I do to make a 16 inch wheel fit a chevy truck 2005 hittn brake bracket
The radiator support is the same. But if it depends if you are going late model, or early model. Late model you'll need different markers and turn signals as well as a different valance and a center bracket.Early model or flat 88-93. The only concern is whether or not the headlights are either single as most late/cheyennes or double single, or composite(silverado)then you would have to change the light bracket.
yes it does. The only thing that is different is the grill and head lights, but it will all interchange.
you dont have to remove the grill to remove the headlights. there is a 5mm bolt that goes down into the headlight. so get a wratchet and losen those until they pull striaght up and remove the headlight.
A Cheyenne is not a Silverado. They are both different trim levels of the 88-98 Chevrolet c/k 1500/2500/3500. (c being 2 wheel drive and k being 4 wheel drive.) The Cheyenne is the baseline model, while the Silverado is the high end model; not all parts are interchangeable and there are larger differences overall such as: -Vortec heads in 1996+ engines -Not all interior trim is interchangeable between the trim levels, one example being A pillar plastic -Different transmissions -95+ had a rounded dash opposed to the previous square dash -94+ had different grilles then previous years, they also had filler peices below the grill opposed to it being all one peice previously Also, when speaking of the directly comparable GMC, which is nearly identical, not all the parts are interchangeable as some claim. One example is the clear corner headlights. Aside from this, the only major difference between GMC and Chevy is the grilles and trim names.
YES
