'99 Ford Escort ZX2: 6.5" front, 6x8" rear
What model escort? It will fit in a saloon (4 door) then it will fit, but all the electronics are going to have to be changed. If it is going in a coupe (zx2) then yes. There was no change from 98 to 99. Hope that is some help to you.
No they are different. The zx2 injectors wont fit an Escort head.
99 zx2 has a non interference engine. This means if the timing is off or the timing belt breaks, no damage will occur to your engine. If you replaced the belt and your engine runs rough, misfires, bucks, that means you didn't put the timing belt on right. It's got to be put on perfectly with the crankshaft at TDC and the cams aligned. Have fun. If you can figure it out, you can take it to a Ford dealer to have the timing belt put on properly.

It's located under the drivers seat and is bolted down with 3 gold bolts that are 10mm. one towards the back and two in the front. I also have a 99 zx2
It is known as a Ford G5M 5-speed manual transaxle. That is the only one, the SR series of Escort ZX2 used the same transaxle with a Centerline street/strip type clutch.
I'm not a mechanic but I just had to have the belt tensioner replaced on my 99 ZX2. There are no other adjustments.
20% off of $99 = $79.2 = 20% discount applied to $99 = $99 - (20% * $99) = $99 - (0.20 * $99) = $99- $19.8 = $79.2
a lil bit behind the maf its a lil black plug
