Remove the dash and replace the evaporator...you might as well replace the heater core while your in there. Its a big job...but can be done a lot cheaper than bringing it to a mechanic

How can you fix evap leaking of your MPV 2001?

To fix an EVAP leak in a 2001 MPV, start by inspecting the EVAP system components, including the gas cap, hoses, and the charcoal canister for cracks or damage. Ensure that the gas cap is tightened properly, as a loose cap can trigger leaks. If the problem persists, use a smoke machine to detect leaks in the system, then replace any faulty parts as necessary. Finally, reset the check engine light and perform a leak test to confirm the repair was successful.

What causes engine code p1494 on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee?

Engine code P1494 on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee indicates a problem with the evaporative emission control (EVAP) system, specifically related to the leak detection pump (LDP). This code may be triggered by issues such as a malfunctioning LDP, a faulty vacuum line, or a leak in the EVAP system. It can also occur if there's a problem with the electrical connections or wiring associated with the pump. Addressing this code typically involves inspecting the EVAP system for leaks and ensuring all components are functioning correctly.

What does a code P0441 EVAP emission mean?

It means you have an Evap purge control leak in the EVAP system. Basically when you have gasoline in a car there are a lot of excess fumes, these fumes are routed through the EVAP system of the car, through a charcoal canister, and returned back to your gas tank as liquid fuel. A leaking charcoal canister, Evap Purge solenoid, PCV lines or PCV elbows can cause this. Also a leaking gas cap can cause this. I would recommend replacing the gas cap first. if that does not do it, check all the connections to the EVAP canister *located in the engine by the firewall*. If there are any leaks, change the elbows or lines. IF the problem still exists you most likely need a new charcoal canister or Canister purge valve solenoid.

1996 Chevy Blazer with an evap control system code possibilities on problem?

i think about every s10 blazer has had this problem, lol this is very common. Usaull problems are evap canister or tank vent port leaking, your computer can detect 1\16 of an inch of a leak, The cheapest thing is to check your gascap for a leak, if you let your vehicle run with the gas cap off, like getting gas for example that could have set that code off.
