can you cranck the engine by hand
it is behind the starter. You will have to remove the starter to get to it.
It is bolted in the side of the block BEHIND the starter. You will have to REMOVE the starter.
tighten the nut from the starter to the solenoid
my 1999 chevy tahoe 5.7 was located in front of the oil pan, and not above the starter as so many said it would be....
IF YOUR MODEL HAS AN INLINE STARTER RELAY (BIG BLUE IDENTIFIED IN ENGINE ROOM) IT MAY HAVE FAILED. IF NOT THEN CHK FOR POWER AT STARTER, IF IT HAS POWER THEN STARTER IS BAD.

It is on the passenger side behind the starter. You must remove the starter and bellhousing cover (black plastic piece behind starter). The sensor is behind and above the starter, held in by one bolt and a bracket.
you can try to short the starter motor . take a screw driver and bridge ffrom battery cable on starter to ignition wire on starter. if starter is good, engine will crank. if starter is bad , solenoid will click if no clicking, solenoid is bad
Sounds like a starter issue. Bad wire to the starter could cause it.
Well, it could be the starter not the regulator.
Could be a bad battery or starter.
could be starter could be neutral safety switch also could be theft system check your security light on instrument cluster.........kbutlrtech@yahoo.com
