Sounds like a starter issue. Bad wire to the starter could cause it.
Will it even crank? If it won't, you have an ignition switch or lock cylinder going bad. If it does crank, just not running, then check to make sure fuel pressure is good and that the ignition coil is good. When exactly will it not start?
check your battery post terminals for good clean connection. If no problem there then you might have a bad generator. Your generator might not be charging your battery. If you installed a new battery and ran your bug all day chances are that your engine was running off of the battery which was not being recharged by your generator. As soon as you turned off your engine and tried to re-start it, your battery did not have enough juice to crank the engine over. Good luck.
This could be a problem with your cam sensor, or crank sensor.
If it makes a k-k-k-k-k-k sound, then it might be that the battery's dead.
No way we can tell from here. If the engine cranks, it is not the battery. The battery can be good and the engine not crank due to other problems. Sorry, but we really cannot diagnose by remote control.
starter
take the battery terminals off and clean them and the battery mountings on the battery real good and reinstall.
Starter is not working.
1-Could be that you battery is dead. There will be enough juice to run the radio and the dome light but not enough to crank the motor. 2-Could be the starter Try jumping your battery first. If it starts, it's probably your battery. Make sure both of your connections are good on your battery.
take the battery terminals off and clean them and the battery posts real good with a wire brush and reinstall and see what happens.
this happen to me and turned out to be corrosion on battery terminal, clean them very good.
no no no my crank sensor when out on my truck ar 95k now i have 125k and she is still running good
if you can lift it good luck
Bad battery, bad alternator/generator or corrosion on battery post/cables. If the battery is on it's last legs then the battery may not have enough juice to start the vehicle. Either the plates "wear out" or a cell or two may have shorted out and isn't giving you the amount of amperage needed. Also have the alternator checked to make sure it is putting out enough juice to recharge the battery in between starts. The battery may be good but the alt isn't giving the battery enough charge in between usage. 95% of what battery's are needed for is to start the vehicle. The more corrosion on the battery cable connectors the less amperage there is to start the car. You may have headlights and other lights but it takes a huge amount of amps to actually start a motor. Make sure the battery cable contacts AND battery posts are nice and bright looking and try starting it again.
no power? Try a Battery Jump-Box, Or Maybe the Starter is no Good? But if it dont Crank at all You are having some sort of Power Problem, all Fuses connected, Battery Terminals, etc..
Anywhere from 525 to 750 is good when buying a new battery. The more the better.
Check for a loose ground.
