I had to go to a dealership to get the radio unlocked, also the cause; ( radio locked) was Battery Failure. After I puchased a new battery I found the radio use to be locked.
Two small spring loaded handles are on the sides of the radio. Push them in and they will spring out. Pull on them and the radio comes out. Disconnect the cables and the radio is free. You must have the code for that particular radio or it will not be functional when reconnected or when battery is reconnected (loss of memory storage in computer)
i reconnected my battery of mountaineer 2005 and radio is asking for code, i wasnt able to find it any where...how to solve this issue
It means the radio is locked. You will have to insert the code to unlock the radio. You must have disconnected the battery or the battery ran down.

u radio needs a reset code if u do not have this u have to pull radio out and get serial numbers call or go to dealer and they should be able to give u code and proceedure to program it again

If your radio is locked and you DONT know the passcode then you need to call Acura....but if you do know the password...then you should enter it
