disconnect the battery. Remove the alternator belt then disconnect the wires. Unbolt the alternator and remove. Bolt the new alternator in then connect the wires, belt, and battery.

If it is like my 2000 Cirrus, I use the key to pop the cover off, then just remove and replace.
remove core support and cooling fans. this will allow you room to operate. remove top mounting bolt. slide belt off idler pulley. remove mounting bracket located to the right of the alternator. put a wrench on the nut on the backside of the alternator and a ratchet and 3" extension on the front side. remove the bolt. alternator should be ready to disconnect. to replace reverse the process.
