try to repalce the igtion coil on the disturberd how about the sensor on it
Replace the ignition control module
crank position sensor is bad
I believe the part you're asking about is inside the distributor. It's the semiconductor device that causes the coil to fire.

in the dist. theres a ignition modgual change it if you still dont have fire change the coil. im having the same problem. I replaced the head gasket to my lemans and never disturbed the timing or anything I markedt where everything goes and went together excellent. I replaced the coil and ign. modjual and put the dielec grease on the modual and still no fire. I rechecked everything. now what? I even replaced the sparkplugs and wires.

do you have fire at the plug? if not the cap has coil in it and needs replaced
are the wires good? Plugs?
have an 07 night train the rear cylander isn't fireing I replaced the coil pack wires plugs and checked the compresion still no fire what could it be? i'm hopeing not the brain
Depending on the year, Fords are known for factopry pick up coil defects.
Have you replaced the PCM
