No it will not run at all
Start with a compression test. Head gaskets fail when an engine overheats and that's a common cause of sudden engine failure. It doesn't always mean that the engine has to have overheated RECENTLY; sometimes it has to be run for a while.

Sounds like a plugged catalitic converter. When they heat up they block air from getting by and the engine will not run.
This would cause your engine to run really rough and can through time hurt the engine. It is possible but not advised. All spark plugs must be connected to the holes in which they connect or you will lose compression and the engine will not run at all.
Either it will not run at all, or run very poorly. Either is likely to do severe damage to the engine.
