Defective relay, switch, or motor. Open the driver door. Pull back the rubber boot covering the wire bundle and you'll probably find at least one broken wire. Splice in a new piece. Be sure to check the others that you can for signs of wear. broken wires was the problem.

Power windows I assume. Check the fuse. If it is still good, it is probably the drivers side master switch that is bad.
I just had my 96 Passport in the shop for the same problem (all the power windows quit working). They replaced the power window relay. Labor $98.50, Part $30.00 go figure. I think the relay is located behind the drivers kick panel. Good luck.
