If the rear AC in your 2004 Ford Freestar is not working, check the fuse box for any blown fuses related to the rear AC system. Also, inspect the rear AC blower motor and its connections for any signs of damage or disconnection. Additionally, ensure that the refrigerant levels are adequate; low refrigerant can affect AC performance. If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to consult a professional mechanic for further diagnosis.
To change the rear evaporator core in a 2004 Yukon Denali, first, disconnect the battery and evacuate the AC system. Remove the rear passenger side trim and the rear HVAC housing to access the evaporator core. Detach the necessary refrigerant lines and fasteners, then replace the old core with the new one, reassemble the housing, and reconnect everything. Finally, recharge the AC system and check for leaks to ensure proper operation.
where is the rear AC blower on the Chevy Astro 98
Ok..I figured it out. Turns out the rear defroster is the problem. When I unplugged it from the back windshield, blower/heater works great!! So...to all those out there..if your blower motor blows fuses...check the blower motor first...then the HVAC and heater fuses, then rear defroster if you have a cavalier!
Remove the HVAC rear module auxiliary assembly.Disconnect the electrical connectors from the rear blower resister auxiliary.Remove the air outlet duct from the rear blower motor controller auxiliary.Remove the screws from the blower motor rear resister auxiliary.Remove the rear blower motor resister auxiliary.Replace the resister and install new thermal gasket.................
