Your derailer needs to be adjusted. If you look at the derailer from the side you should be able to see two screws that are used to set the limits of the derailer's movement. The one at the top determines how far towards the wheel the derailer will go and the lower determines how far towards the frame it will go. Lift the rear wheel of the ground, crank the pedals by hand and switch to the gear where the chain jumps off the sprocket, but stop cranking before it jumps off! Now tighten the top screw a little, and you should see the derailer move out a little. Get back to cranking with the rear wheel elevated and see if the chain stays in place. If it still jumps off, give the screw a few more turns. If it refuses to go onto the the sprocket, back the screw out a little. There are several possible reasons why your Schwinn bike gear shifter may not be working properly. It could be due to a misalignment of the gears, a worn-out cable, a damaged shifter mechanism, or dirt and debris clogging the shifter. It is recommended to inspect and potentially adjust or replace these components to resolve the issue.

The Schwinn 20 Loop folding bike features a lightweight aluminum frame, 7-speed Shimano grip shifter, alloy linear pull brakes, and 20-inch alloy wheels. It is designed for easy folding and storage, making it convenient for commuting or traveling.
This problem is not a new one. By the way, if you're having the key stuck issue, or if the shifter moves without pushing anything, buy a new shifter assembly. Official TSB and Recall Thread - Page 14 - Chevy HHR Network (Use the link below.)
To shift gears on a road bike, use the shifters located on the handlebars. The right shifter controls the rear gears, while the left shifter controls the front gears. Pushing the shifter inwards or outwards will move the chain onto a different gear, allowing you to adjust your pedaling resistance.
Try pushing the release button on the shifter. Put it in drive then back to park. Should work.
The different types of bike shifter types available in the market include grip shifters, trigger shifters, and twist shifters. These shifters allow cyclists to change gears on their bikes by either twisting, pushing, or pulling a lever.
To switch gears on a bike, you use the gear shifters located on the handlebars. Pushing the shifter in one direction makes the gears harder to pedal, while pushing it in the other direction makes them easier. This allows you to adjust the resistance and speed of your bike.
To shift gears on a bicycle, you use the gear shifters located on the handlebars. Pushing the shifter in one direction makes it harder to pedal (shifts to a higher gear), while pushing it in the other direction makes it easier to pedal (shifts to a lower gear).
Motorcycles have a ratchet shifter. When you push the shifter down or up, the shifter returns to the middle position. First gear is selected by pushing the shifter down once from neutral. All other gear selections are by pulling the shifter up. If I remember correctly the Ninja has five gears. That would mean once down for first, once up for second, up again for third and so on. To come down through the gears is the reverse, push down on the shifter to go from fifth to fourth, once more down for third, an so on. Neutral is in between first and second. With the bike in first gear, lift the shifter gently, watching the green neutral light. When the light comes on, stop lifting the shifter. Hope this helps. Don
The shifter cable connects the shifter to the transmission.
Sounds like a faulty btsi solenoid (brake transmission shift interlock). Key on push on the brake and listen for a click by the shifter. If no click try wiggling the shifter and pushing forward.
