There is no recall yet on the 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Body Bushings as of Aug 2011.Looks like they were made out of fiberous cork and mine simply rotted out. Ford wants over a $1000.00 at the dealer to buy all these bushings and they are not worth it. Better to buy them from JEGS who have a polyurathane complete set for $167.00 with all the bushings. Torque down to 55 foot pounds and use locktite generously on the bolt threads for best results.
there are 16 Bushing body mount pieces. 8 per side of the truck.
super lift carries a body lift for the sport trac
4 door sport utility vehicle
On a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport : The throttle body is in the engine compartment . It is under the plastic cover that has 4.0 SOHC on it , at one end of the larger diameter rubber engine air intake tube
Yes. I have recently bought one from truxxx.com
Is this a trick question ? ( The 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with the 4.0 L - SOHC - V6 engine has 3 timing chains - first year of pick-up body style in Ford Explorer line-up )
Under the plastic engine cover at the end of the big rubber engine air intake tube
4 wheel parts has them check them out i also saw a explorer kit that did the same pa body lift will help you if all else fails wish u the best i am doing the same to mine
Mostly on the wheels but also on the bushings because you have your whole body weight rubbing metal trucks against rubber bushings.
Depending on the part, frent fenders forward will fit, doors are diffrent the wheelbase is slightly shorter on the sport, and i believe the doors are longer, rear hatch is the same, bumpers, lights that kind of thing will work
