A four way speaker is one which has four different types of active elements, each one suited to a specific part of the audio spectrum. Thus, it would have a 'woofer' for low bass notes, a low midrange speaker, a high midrange speaker, and a 'tweeter' for very high frequencies. A 'cross over network' inside the speaker divides up the signal coming from the amplifier, and directs the different parts of the signal to the appropriate driver, or element.

Latin speakers don't name numbers the way English speakers do. For example, Latin speakers would say "two and seventy" instead of "seventy-two".It's the same way with fourteen, or four and ten. Four = quattuor, ten = decim, and and = et; so fourteen is quattuor et decim (four and ten). However, the word et is assumed, so one takes the word et out and presses quattuor and decem together to make quattuordecim. For simplicity's sake, fourteen is quattuordecim.
