Before all this make sure you have put in a new fuel filter located on inside of frame below passenger right foot , will have to jack it up to change it out. Do this first , sounds like plugged up filter. If you know how , check for any code faults after that. You ground the A to B on data link under ash tray and count # of flashes , 3 sets for each code after the basic code 12 , (1 flash 2 flash) = code 12 , 3 times in a row for each code that is stored in memory then back to code 12 , starts over. 3 flash then 3 flash = code 33 . and will do it 3 times in a row , then next code 3 times.
Get code and call any auto store , they will look it up for free. Code 12 is just ECM is active or working. Check engine light should be working with key on or ECM will need to be checked out or replaced , and this is the light that will be flashing when checking for codes. Auto stores also have a free tool for grounding the A to B , thin metal key look. A and B is lower row all the way to left and next to each other , first 2 from left to right lower row of contacts , with key on. You will here a thunk , it is normal , hood scoop vent opens up , conformation sound.
Several answers for this one but oil pressure sender may have bad connection or distributor module could be bad. unplug and replug oil pressure plug and 4 wire distributor plug. To check that fuel pump is not locking up , under ashtray is the ALDL and the fuel pump can be turned on by grounding the G contact , you will have to make sure which one it is ( upper row all the way to the right ) run a wire to metal ground with key on and listen for the fuel pump running inside the gas tank without stopping. You can also hear pump run for about 2 seconds just by turning the key on to start position but not trying to start engine , it will pump up each time you do that , maybe wait a few seconds between each time. Also check fuse next to battery if will not start at all , fuse is for ECM (computer). 20 amp , i use a 15. All cheap and free checks.
