i dont know either i got 350 turbo no forward but have reverce
if anyone finds out let me know ....rebuild is about 800.
The typical turbo 350 has three speeds forward and one reverse.
A Turbo 400 transmission typically has three forward gears and shifts a total of two times as it transitions from first to second gear and then from second to third gear. It operates in a simple three-speed configuration, meaning it does not have overdrive or additional gears beyond these three.
There are 3 foreward gears and 1 reverse gear.
A turbo 350 has only 3 gears. The 700R4 has 3 gears plus over drive and lock-up converter. And it is the same as a 400 turbo with overdrive.
You are probably thinking of the turbo hydro, 350. It was Chevies base automatic, after the powerglide. It had 3 gears, and was fairly tough. The turbo 400, was the heavy duty version.
A Chevy 305 is not a transmission it is a motor. If you mean a Chevy turbo 350 then the answer would be 3 different forward speeds and reverse.
A Dodge transmission does not have a turbo.
Never heard of a turbo 700, but a TH700R4 is a 4 speed.
Could be a pump problem or broken planetary. Regardless, the transmission will need to be disassembled.
my Chevy silvarado with 350 trany will go in reverse but not in forward gears checked fluid levels by pulling pan only 1/2 quart in bottom of pan added 6 quarts is this enough ?
The tranny slipping
The serial number of your 350 Turbo transmission can be found on the transmission. The transmission should have a specification tag. The tag should be on top of the transmission.
